It is the club's goal to keep the travel fees for playing to an absolute minimum. The fields are provided to us for free by local municipal governments. Some of the costs associated with travel membership are referree fees, costs to line the fields, tournament fees, insurance, state membership fees, coach travel reimbursements and the costs of equipment and coaches training.

OBX Storm travel teams are eligible for three levels of competition: Recreational, Challenge and Classic. Challenge and Classic teams cost a little more to register so the cost of membership dues are a little more. The annual season starts August 1 and ends July 31.

Types Of Membership

Option 1.  Full player membership:


Competitive League Player- $400/season or $800 annually.

This provides a player six events (tournaments or league play), for each team as well as the costs associated above. Families with multiple siblings can receive 10% multi-sibling discount upon request. *Discounts are not applicable for siblings who are playing on Junior Stars.

Option 2.  Associate player membership $200 per season or $400 annually.

No discounts are offered for associate players. This fee covers the cost of registering the player with the state so they are eligible to pratice with the team as well as the costs of insurance for the club. 

The annual season starts September 1st and ends August 31st. Fall is from September 1- December 31 and Spring is traditionally March 1-May 31.

  3. Make Copy of Player's Birth Certificate
  4. Download parent code of conduct form, Print & Sign
  5. Download player code of conduct form, Print & Sign 
  6. Player Photo:  1" x 1" Color "Head Shot" (No Sunglasses or Hats). Print on Photo Paper or Email to Coach
  7. Pay Online or Write Check to "OBX STORM SOCCER"
  8. Gather All Paperwork- MUST be Hard Copies of all (#2 - 6 above) and Deliver to Coach or Registrar.

Along with the fee a completed liability waiver, a current photo, the player code of conduct form and parent code of conduct form must be provided provided by the parent once a year. Birth certificates are required upon initial sign up. They are held by the club as long as the player stays with the club.
