The OBX Storm Junior Stars is a player development program focused on initial soccer skills and developing player skills. This new program will be offered to youth born in 2017-2011. This is the path for initial player development and skill building.


Please read, print, and fill out the parent's guide and return this along with a copy of your child's birth certificate and a recent photo (no glasses or hats) to the academy director or your child's coach.  Completion of paperwork, assessment, and payment reserve your child's spot in the program.

The deadline to register for the Spring 2023 session is February 15.

Coaches: The Junior Stars Program will be run by Coach Gene Patten, who holds multiple training and coaching licenses.

Games: There will NOT be games for this league. This division of Storm is focused on developing players prior to beginning competitive play.


The tuition for the Junior Stars Program per season is $200, which includes a jersey for player sessions. Please indicate your child's size on your registration form.


Junior Stars does offer scholarships. Please complete the scholarship application form below and submit this along with last year's tax return for scholarship consideration.

Season Schedule:

The schedule will be announced prior to practices beginning in March. There are no games or travel for this league, but some scrimmages may be scheduled. 



Steps To Enroll

1.  Download and complete the OBX Storm Junior Stars Registration Form.

2.  Email the Registration information (scanned, or a photo of the document is fine) and email to our Registrar: Registrar Email

3.  Pay Online or Write Check to "OBX STORM SOCCER"

4. You will receive an email following the registration deadline with information regarding training dates, etc... in late February.



Q: Are there sibling discounts for Junior Stars?

A: No, the program does not include sibling discounts.


Q: Can my player play for another league and participate in Junior Stars?

A: Yes, it is possible, but we can not guarantee overlap in practice schedules.


Q: My child is younger than the birth years listed and would like to sign up. Can I still register them?

A: No, we are only accepting players for the program with the birth years indicated above. (2017-2011)


Q: Will this program be offered year-round?

A: We will offer this program in the Spring and the Fall moving forward.
